GreenCare for Troops

In an effort to give back to the community and support our troops overseas, Kramer Tree Specialists is participating in a program called GreenCare for Troops.

We would like to help a few families whose primary provider is serving in the Middle East by providing tree care. Maintenance of your home becomes a definite hardship when a family’s breadwinner is on active duty away from home. Kramer Tree Specialists would like to ease this stress by providing our service for this upcoming season.

The project is called GreenCare for Troops and it is a nationwide outreach program sponsored by Project EverGreen and participating green industry leaders. Their goal is to care for the lawns and landscapes of the men and women serving our country in the armed forces that are overseas.

Project EverGreen is a national non-profit organization representing green industry service providers, associations, suppliers, distributors and individuals. Project EverGreen’s mission is to raise the awareness of the environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits of landscapes and promote the significance of those who preserve and enhance green spaces at home, work and play.

Kramer Tree Specialists was introduced to the project last fall and was immediately excited to get started. We are currently looking for five families who are in need of tree care; tree pruning, removal and cable bracing. Site visits will vary based on the individual site and the family’s needs. We are all looking forward to getting started and helping those families that respond.
